By their fruit, you shall know them

Recap of last week Sermon: 

During the last sermon, we talk on the topic "The Agent of Destiny Destroyer" to get us cautioned and acquainted, with the fastest and easier way of destroying the God-giving destiny and how to live and maintain the glory of God in us. There are so many things that could cause the downfall of a man but there is one great thing that can easily destroy a man so fast and take away all the good glory of God in them. Please sit back and enjoy this great lecture that will change your life forever.

Introduction:

When we hear of the above topic, one of the questions that will come to our mind is who is it referring to and what fruit. Our lord, Jesus Christ, is making this assertion to his disciple to prepare their mind ahead against the tricks and pretense of the devil and his cohort because the devil had used this ministry of pretense under the shadow of righteousness to easily deceive so many and put them under his bondage or domain. The worst part of this is that, so many people are ignorant of these tricks or devices of the devil, because it is a deep spiritual phenomenon that does not come cheaply to revelation and it takes God and your quest to make it happen. The devil will use so many things in the world to trick his prey and put them under him, especially the things you cherish most and hold at high esteem to your heart. These are the most important areas, the devil will never joke with, and where he wait for his prey. So be guided. 

Another thing we should understand is that, apart from the devil taking the image of righteousness, or hiding under the cover of sheep’s clothing (Mathew 7: 15), he is also very close to his prey in terms of nurturing, monitoring and having control over them (Mathew 10: 36). The devil uses this principle to overpower his prey and one of the most dangerous and strongest tools among all, being engaged for this action is love (Mathew 10: 37). 

However, the manifestation of this malicious interaction of the devil over every individual produces effects on the outside, either hiding or obvious which therefore, becomes their fruit.

Fruit as it is being used in our bible text (Matthew 7: 15-20) is a product of the inner content which clearly expressed the basic objectives of the one dwelling within and It also has the power to reproduce itself either through re-birth or sharing which the devil doesn’t joke with, in other to have continuity of his ministry. As we all know, fruit cannot survive on its own except it is connected to the one supplying the strength, just like the branch or stem of a tree cannot survive without it roots. So when the devil is taking influence over man, he made them to produce fruits that will manifest in every individual to help his ministry, just as I have explained above. 

Likewise, when God is fully dwelling in a man, he made him also to produce fruits and affect souls positively and bring them to light, so that those that had been held down in bondage by Satan can be set free. This was why our lord, Jesus Christ, gives us a command according to (John 15: 16) which says, ‘’ye have not chosen me but I have chosen you and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit and that your fruit should remain, that whatsoever ye shall ask of the father in my name, he may give it you’’    

The fact is that bringing forth fruits is the basic assignment of every believer, so that we can share the light we have received from our lord, Jesus, with every soul around us to help relieve them under the oppression of the devil and to bring them under God’s kingdom so they will be saved. 

Our Lord, Jesus Christ, continues to admonished us, according to the book of (Matthew 5: 14-16) which says, ‘’ye are the light of the world, a city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden, neither do men light a candle and put it under bushel but on a candlestick, and it giveth light unto all that are in the house, therefore let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good work and glorify your father which is in heaven’’ 

The bible verse above is talking to all believers who have accepted Jesus as their lord and savior and are grounded in his words. You can share the light by your altitude, judgment, behavior and through sharing the word of God.

Nevertheless, the devil also uses this principle of bearing fruit to share his demonic anointing either through birth, initiation, or individuals interaction, just as I have explained above, so that his ministry  of stealing, killing and destroying which serve as his major business on earth, will have a continuity (John 10: 10) and finally bring much captives under his domain.

Fruit as a symbol of loyalty:

As explained above, fruit cannot survive on its own except on the support of the one providing its strength, just like the branch or stem of a tree cannot survive without the root. Our lord, Jesus Christ, also buttressed more on this in the book of (John 15: 1-8), which says: ‘’1. I am the true vine and my father is the husbandman. 2. Every branch in me that beareth not fruits he taketh away and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth much fruit. And verse 4, abide in me and I in you, as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine, no more can ye, except ye abide in me. Verse 5, I am the vine, ye are the branches, he that abideth in me and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit, for without me, ye can do nothing. Verse 6, if a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered and men gather them and cast into the fire and they are burned. 

You see, there must be some agreement either knowingly or unknowingly between the fruits and its source of power before they can function as a fruit or manifesting the objectives of the one who dwells within. The truth is that either God or Satan can rightly dwell in a man to produce their desire fruits, which will, therefore, manifest to impact souls or their surrounding positively or negatively. The essence of this, is to allow for continuity of their ministry and you know the ministry of God is to deliver the oppressed of the devil and save sinners through our lord, Jesus Christ, who had come to laid down his life, so he can save the world (John 3: 16-18, Philippians 2: 5-11) but the ministry of the devil is to steal, kill and destroy (John 10: 10) and no matter what, one of these three things must occur to you when you are dealing with the devil or have allow yourself to be his agent or ambassador, trust me, you cannot escape it, because even if the devil gives you riches, he has taken away the glorious destiny of your generations to come and either you, your children and generations are going to typically suffer for it, (Exodus 20: 5-6, Hosea 4:6), even you, judgment await you at every corner both here on earth and after death, and you know there is life after death, just as it is on earth. 

Our bible text (Matthew 7: 15-20), made us understand that you should beware of false prophet that come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly, they are ravening wolf. Ye shall know them by their fruit and that every good tree bringeth forth good fruit but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit and every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire. Beloved, this is a statement of fact and cannot be disputed, that is, by their fruit you shall know them. The truth is that bad tree cannot bring forth good fruit or good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit. The manifestation of this bad or evil fruit sometimes, could be a deep spiritual phenomenon and might not be detected except God himself reveal it but there are some that is obviously seen and which will suggest the nature of the one dwelling within. Now let’s look at some ways through which the devil will always use to produce his desire fruits in every individual which will therefore, manifest to help the continuity of his ministry and bring people into his domain, remember, we said fruit is a product of the inner content which clearly expressed the desire of the one dwelling within.

1. Immoral dressing:  1 Timothy 2: 9, Matthew 5: 28

This is one great channel the devil has used to hijack the world because the end result involves fornication and adultery. Little time enjoyment that destroy generational glorious destiny because the power behind this exercise is strong and it is also a covenant. There are more spiritual tone behind immoral dressing which is hidden from those involved. Even our lord, Jesus Christ, made us understand that, if you look at a woman lustfully, you have already committed adultery with her in your heart (Matthew 5: 28) and what this means is that, immediately as you are developing natural urge and lust after the woman, your spirit is already trying to connect with her and if this urge continue to deepen more and more, then the devil will come in to chiefly play a smart game and get you hooked. If this woman is also reciprocating the urge, then the two spirit can connect easily but if not, the devil himself, can come in to act as the woman and get your spirit contaminated, this is exactly what happen in the spiritual when such serious urge is being engaged. This is why God seriously condemn such urge in the first place, because when such happen, the Holy Spirit, will step aside and the devil will immediately, chiefly controls the action. So you see how dangerous immoral dressing could be. So many things happen at the point of fornication and adultery, this is where destiny is being changed or tampered with, so be guided. Please read the last week sermon to see what actually happen during fornication and adultery.

The truth is that the devil has used this act of immoral dressing to hijack the world because the world loves everything sweet, which will definitely lead people to destruction and as it is now, there is no beautiful dressing you will see without an immoral tone, like flaunting sexy shape and figure or captivating lap or exposed breast, all these are tricks of the devil which has turned to normal lifestyle or behavior. The unfortunate thing about this is that it is everywhere around us and you can’t hide from it and it has also eaten deeply through peer pressure.  Paul speaking on the scripture above (1 Timothy 2: 9) which says that ‘’I also want the woman to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves not with elaborate hair style or gold or pearls or expensive cloth but with good deed appropriate for woman who professed to worship God’’

Please note this fact, that If you are always having the urge to dress flashily and captivating, whether to catch the attention of men or not, then check yourself properly because the devil is always looking for such category of people to help him in his ministry of seducing men either to immoral thought or all forms of admiration that will generate series of urge, and which is also where fornication and adultery start. These does not mean that those that are dressing morally ok are saint but at least they are not helping the devil to seduce men to fall and this means that if you a believer and your life style or dressing is not different from those in the world then there is a comma, on the one who dwells within you. Know this fact now, that the devil is a custodian of beauty because he is perfect in beauty and all precious stone adore him, please read (Ezekiel 28: 12-18).

Woman are carriers of God's glory and so, Satan doesn't joke with them, he uses them as a weapon to bring down great men of glorious destiny, even from their youth. You remember the case of Adam and Eve, how satan used Eve to bring down the great Adam and the future generational destiny that await him, this is still happening today, [Genesis 3: 9-19], so beware. This is why a lady that want to serve God to succeed must be very careful not to be an instrument in the hand of the devil, because when the devil wants to use you, he will not write a letter to you that he needs you, automatically as you are developing interest or urge for some certain things of life, you are already in for the game.

2. Marriage:   Mark 10:8, 1 Corinthians 6: 16-20

This is one of the worst things the devil had been using to produce his desire fruit so easily because marriage turns the two involve to be one flesh, even in the spirit (Mark 10: . In fact, this is the cheap gateway for the devil to manifest and produce his desire fruit because the covenant binding the two to become one is so strong. Please read the previous sermons. 3. Conformity to the style of the world:  Romans 12: 1-2, Philippians 4:6

In general, conformity to the style of the world, either dress pattern, or culture, or a pattern of lifestyle and the anxiousness about it, is one dangerous aspect that knocked off God’s desire. What you are anxious about and those things that take up your heart is where the devil will be sitting to wait for most of his prey. The truth that needs to be known is that there is a spiritual backing or tone for most of the pattern of the world and so we should not join that pattern because you are not of the world but of heaven above (John 17: 16, John 15: 19). I’m talking to every believer now because a believer that had consecrated his earthly desire or enjoyment for Jesus Christ is living for him and not for the world.

The scripture above (Romans 12: 1-2) says that ‘’therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy to offer your body as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is, his good, pleasing and perfect will’’  

The above verse tells us practically how to live for God on this earth and until you are transformed to this state of mind, you might not be able to properly live for God.

Now I pray for the one reading and following my weekly sermon, that the grace you need to be able to appropriate all these and live by them, not to be an instrument in the hands of the devil, may the almighty God grant it unto you in Jesus Name.
