During the last sermon, we talked about the topic “heavenly ambassador” to learn how to covet the value in this for our breakthrough in life especially through all our endeavors because a greater power of God is experience and engraved in this exercise even to the smallest form. The apex form of your sonship to God will be that you become His ambassador and reference Him in all spheres of your life and in doing this, His mighty hand will never leave you.
Preamble:
This week, we shall be looking at the topic "Church Uniform" to learn and understand how the way we look or dress or behave becomes a communication channel either for God or the devil and which is also contagious even among the children of God and this necessitates the need for a conscious and cautioned dress style or outfit in the presence of God and among Godly children especially in the church so that this will not be used against us in the day of judgments and that satan will not use it as an entrance for his dwelling. Please sit back and enjoy this great lecture that will change your life forever.
Introduction:
Our topic above is a combination of two words [church and uniform] which had to be treated independently to enable a deeper understanding of this great sermon. As we all know that church is a gathering of God’s children and not the building as against the general prevalent belief of assuming the church to be the building where the children of God meet. Our lord Jesus Christ affirmed more to this by saying that where two or more people are gathered, there He is in their midst [Matthew 18: 20] and as you know the purpose of gathering in the church is to learn and meet with the lord. This therefore made us understand that wherever children of God gather to learn the word of God and worship Him becomes their church at that point in time and wherever becomes a permanent place of such meeting, there God dwell [2 Chronicle 7: 16].
Uniform, as it was being defined by an online pocket dictionary is a clothing of distinctive design worn by members of a particular group as a means of identification. There are two notable words within the definition above which are distinctive design and identification and which we are to consider for a deeper understanding into this course. Distinctive design refers to that which is peculiar or different from the usual or others and of course, identification is the ability to identify a thing among others. Beloved this is synonymous to church uniform.
The church or the body of Christ does not have any peculiar physical clothing uniform but our uniform is of a spiritual one which manifest outwardly and becomes a form of identification that separate us from the world and this therefore means that if you cannot differentiate a believer from an unbeliever by their dressing, outfit or how they behave, then there is a question mark on the one who dwell inside the so called believer. Just as we have learnt above about the two notable words from the dictionary definition of a uniform, that is, must be a distinctive design which distinguished it from others for identification is exactly how the spiritual uniform of such a believer that makes up his or her character, dressing and behaviour should be or look. I pray the lord gives you the grace to live up to this in standard in God in Jesus name.
Our bible text [1 Timothy 2: 9 NIV] says “I also want the woman to dress modesty with decency and propriety, adorning themselves not with elaborate hairstyle or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deed appropriate for woman who profess to worship God”
Beloved, the way we talk, the way we dress, the way we relate and the way we behave is actually a form of communication channel that send some signal to people either for Godly or devilish purposes. This is why the very first thing that must happen to a genuine believer is a broken spirit because it is when you are broken and equally allow the spirit of God to feel that empty or broken space in you so that you can experience a great overturn which will change you out of fear and trembling or love for Christ to that desire person in Christ Jesus that you can manifest that fruitfulness of a genuine believers uniform. This is because a certain demon or forces of the air duly controlled by the devil is actually in charge of this worldly ways of dressing, and behavior and it will take God by your brokenness to deliver you from them [Ephesians 2: 2].
The world we live has been corrupted since the days of the broken covenant between man and God where man partake of the tree of knowledge of good and evil [] and since then satan had taken authority over the world and over man until Jesus come to take that authority from him after fulfilling the consequences of mans misdeed. The devil still rule the world but those that are under his lordship and he uses so many ways to drag or entice those that are for Christ to come under his lordship as well either knowingly or unknowingly.
The devil usually start all his tricks from every beautiful and good things of life because he knows it is only a mad man that will deliberate resist something good either in the area of beautiful dress and outfit to entice those that are for Christ thereby putting immoral thought in their heart especially the single once and you know the bible says that he that look at a woman lustfully had already committed adultery in his heart [Matthew 5: 28] or in the area of beautiful woman and ladies so that men of Christ can easily fall for them in marriage which will be an everlasting prism or even in the area of good job and property, he can also put up a cover of righteousness and look like the holy saint or angel from God [1 John 4: 1].
Beloved, the devil himself is smart and beautiful, the bible made us understand that he [devil] is full of wisdom and perfect in beauty [Ezekiel 28: 12]. The devil control the world through three major things and which are sexual immorality, marriage and money and these are basically what a man will go through for passing through this world. He uses dressing especially beautiful once and peer pressure to put the youth under control and end up in his choice of marriage partner. This is why you will see that every beautiful dressing today has an atom of immorality attach and has turned out to be the norm.
These are dresses that will reveal the nakedness of the one wearing them because it reveal the true natural inner composition of the wearer, in fact, sometimes you can tell the sizes of the under wears of the one wearing them because it brings out the photocopy of the inner structure. This are all strategic plan of the devil and are all from the pit of hell, please desist from it because if God should open your spiritual eyes and see the kingdoms of the devil both high and low, you will realize that this is exactly how they dress there which was eventually transferred to the world through their agent. Please desist from all these because God is not happy with such form of dressing especially from a believer who profess the name of the true God.
We see how Paul, a servant of God condemn such dress and outfit in the bible text we read above. It is good that your heart is ok because the bible say those that believe in their heart will be saved [Romans 10: 9-10] but as you believe in your heart that had made you save, the holy spirit will begin to renew your mind through his word which will manifest on the outside and thereby becomes your spiritual garment or uniform so that you can show light to those around you because the only thing they see is the things you do in the outside since they can’t get to your mind so Christ expect you to allow your light to shine through your spiritual uniform just as we have explained above so that those around you can see the light and glorify your father who is in heaven. The problem with most people in this category is that when they receive the word they don’t allow the holy spirit to fully work on them because their mind is still set on the thing of the world [Colossian 3: 1-2].
When you love the world by a way loving the things or style of world you cannot please the holy spirit [1 John 2: 15] because He is not of the world but of heaven and above [John 8: 23]. Please note that everything that happen in the world must always have a spiritual backing because the spiritual control the physical. Anything you do, either in the area of dressing, haircut, music, ungodly marriage, friendship and money all have spiritual backing and all these is found even in the church among the supposed children of God, the only thing the devil needs is identification and so if you join the world in any area of endeavour, you will be identified with it and the implication of this is that you are already a member.
You see, the devil did not need to write to you or beg you sometimes to have you, the world is like a kingdom of cultism and the moment you are loving it, or joining them and passionately desiring for all these worldly things, the devil is already taken lordship over you because he will be using those things to control you so that you can set them in high esteemed even above God. This is why our lord Jesus Christ critically warned us according to the above bible verses [1 John 2: 15] not to love the world for any reason because the devil will use it against you unknowingly. I pray the lord open your spiritual eyes so that you can adequately know how to tread the path of this world without getting stuck in Jesus name.
The question that should ring a bell in your heart now is that what then is the feature of this believers uniform which took its ordinance from the individual spiritual ability or how should a believer relate, dress or behave. The answer is that whatsoever you do should be meant to glorify God and if it will not glorify God then desist from it. What does this mean? It means that, take for instance, if you dress in an immoral way where you are only showing off the good glory of God in you to attract men and cause immoral thought in their heart, you are only glorifying the devil and God will not be happy with that. Also, every other thing you do on how you relate with people or behave or make judgement should be done in such a way that it will be a light and pass a good signal that will bring glory to God and to those around you.
This is because everything you do in life, how you live your life or how you look is a communication channel for which God or the devil are using to influence man since they both live in us and whenever you initiate something that people can see with their physical eyes, maybe in the area of immoral dressing, behavior or how you relate and judge matter, and if that thing is glorifying the devil, the same devil who is in the other person through his flesh will communicate to him immediately in such a manner that the person will begin to appreciate that which you are doing and began to love it. This is exactly how what you do which people can see becomes a communication channel both for God or the devil and to you. So you see how dangerous, deadly or lively your dressing or behaviour or look can be to influence your neighbour, colleague, and the society at large. I pray that the lord gives you a deeper understanding into this course in Jesus name.
Conclusion:
Now that you know how your dressing and behaviour influence people that are seeing it especially those around you. What decision or steps are you making now to correct your ways and dressing so that you can be in total peace with God. I will advice you ask God for forgiveness and grace to live up to his standard and He will grant it to u in Jesus name.
Confession:
If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your lord and saviour and you are convinced that you need him to come into your life so you can also tap into the grace available through shedding of his blood, and equally partake of the effectiveness of his wrath and the blessing that comes with it, and that you are sure, you are ready to repent from all those sin of fornication, adultery, lying, sexual immorality, pride, jealousy, hatred, idolatry, selfish ambition, witchcraft, impurity and debauchery, dissensions, envy, drunkenness, orgies and the likes, then locate a quiet place, be sober and be on your knees, and make this little confession but remember to be sure of what you are doing, so that you will not be using God to play, when you respect him and give him honour, he will also honour you in the sight of men (Matthew 6: 6).
Lord Jesus, i come with total humbleness of heart to ask for forgiveness of my sins and accept you as my lord and saviour, please forgive me of all my sin (you can begin to name them if you know them) I surrender my life to you and i want you to come and take full charge over my life and i accept you as my lord and my saviour, please cleanse me with your blood that you shed on the cross and make me a new man leaving old things behind, I promise to serve you and do your will at all time and i ask for the strength to carry on. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for saving me.

As we all know that church is a gathering of God’s children and not the building as against the general prevalent belief of assuming the church to be the building where the children of God meet. Our lord Jesus Christ affirmed more to this by saying that where two or more people are gathered, there He is in their midst [Matthew 18: 20] and as you know the purpose of gathering in the church is to learn and meet with the lord. This therefore made us understand that wherever children of God gather to learn the word of God and worship Him becomes their church at that point in time and wherever becomes a permanent place of such meeting, there God dwell [2 Chronicle 7: 16].
Uniform, as it was being defined by an online pocket dictionary is a clothing of distinctive design worn by members of a particular group as a means of identification. There are two notable words within the definition above which are distinctive design and identification and which we are to consider for a deeper understanding into this course. Distinctive design refers to that which is peculiar or different from the usual or others and of course, identification is the ability to identify a thing among others. Beloved this is synonymous to church uniform.
The church or the body of Christ does not have any peculiar physical clothing uniform but our uniform is of a spiritual one which manifest outwardly and becomes a form of identification that separate us from the world and this therefore means that if you cannot differentiate a believer from an unbeliever by their dressing, outfit or how they behave, then there is a question mark on the one who dwell inside the so called believer. Just as we have learnt above about the two notable words from the dictionary definition of a uniform, that is, must be a distinctive design which distinguished it from others for identification is exactly how the spiritual uniform of such a believer that makes up his or her character, dressing and behaviour should be or look. I pray the lord gives you the grace to live up to this in standard in God in Jesus name.
Our bible text [1 Timothy 2: 9 NIV] says “I also want the woman to dress modesty with decency and propriety, adorning themselves not with elaborate hairstyle or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deed appropriate for woman who profess to worship God”
Beloved, the way we talk, the way we dress, the way we relate and the way we behave is actually a form of communication channel that send some signal to people either for Godly or devilish purposes. This is why the very first thing that must happen to a genuine believer is a broken spirit because it is when you are broken and equally allow the spirit of God to feel that empty or broken space in you so that you can experience a great overturn which will change you out of fear and trembling or love for Christ to that desire person in Christ Jesus that you can manifest that fruitfulness of a genuine believers uniform. This is because a certain demon or forces of the air duly controlled by the devil is actually in charge of this worldly ways of dressing, and behavior and it will take God by your brokenness to deliver you from them [Ephesians 2: 2].
The world we live has been corrupted since the days of the broken covenant between man and God where man partake of the tree of knowledge of good and evil [] and since then satan had taken authority over the world and over man until Jesus come to take that authority from him after fulfilling the consequences of mans misdeed. The devil still rule the world but those that are under his lordship and he uses so many ways to drag or entice those that are for Christ to come under his lordship as well either knowingly or unknowingly.
The devil usually start all his tricks from every beautiful and good things of life because he knows it is only a mad man that will deliberate resist something good either in the area of beautiful dress and outfit to entice those that are for Christ thereby putting immoral thought in their heart especially the single once and you know the bible says that he that look at a woman lustfully had already committed adultery in his heart [Matthew 5: 28] or in the area of beautiful woman and ladies so that men of Christ can easily fall for them in marriage which will be an everlasting prism or even in the area of good job and property, he can also put up a cover of righteousness and look like the holy saint or angel from God [1 John 4: 1].
Beloved, the devil himself is smart and beautiful, the bible made us understand that he [devil] is full of wisdom and perfect in beauty [Ezekiel 28: 12]. The devil control the world through three major things and which are sexual immorality, marriage and money and these are basically what a man will go through for passing through this world. He uses dressing especially beautiful once and peer pressure to put the youth under control and end up in his choice of marriage partner. This is why you will see that every beautiful dressing today has an atom of immorality attach and has turned out to be the norm.
These are dresses that will reveal the nakedness of the one wearing them because it reveal the true natural inner composition of the wearer, in fact, sometimes you can tell the sizes of the under wears of the one wearing them because it brings out the photocopy of the inner structure. This are all strategic plan of the devil and are all from the pit of hell, please desist from it because if God should open your spiritual eyes and see the kingdoms of the devil both high and low, you will realize that this is exactly how they dress there which was eventually transferred to the world through their agent. Please desist from all these because God is not happy with such form of dressing especially from a believer who profess the name of the true God.
We see how Paul, a servant of God condemn such dress and outfit in the bible text we read above. It is good that your heart is ok because the bible say those that believe in their heart will be saved [Romans 10: 9-10] but as you believe in your heart that had made you save, the holy spirit will begin to renew your mind through his word which will manifest on the outside and thereby becomes your spiritual garment or uniform so that you can show light to those around you because the only thing they see is the things you do in the outside since they can’t get to your mind so Christ expect you to allow your light to shine through your spiritual uniform just as we have explained above so that those around you can see the light and glorify your father who is in heaven. The problem with most people in this category is that when they receive the word they don’t allow the holy spirit to fully work on them because their mind is still set on the thing of the world [Colossian 3: 1-2].
When you love the world by a way loving the things or style of world you cannot please the holy spirit [1 John 2: 15] because He is not of the world but of heaven and above [John 8: 23]. Please note that everything that happen in the world must always have a spiritual backing because the spiritual control the physical. Anything you do, either in the area of dressing, haircut, music, ungodly marriage, friendship and money all have spiritual backing and all these is found even in the church among the supposed children of God, the only thing the devil needs is identification and so if you join the world in any area of endeavour, you will be identified with it and the implication of this is that you are already a member.
You see, the devil did not need to write to you or beg you sometimes to have you, the world is like a kingdom of cultism and the moment you are loving it, or joining them and passionately desiring for all these worldly things, the devil is already taken lordship over you because he will be using those things to control you so that you can set them in high esteemed even above God. This is why our lord Jesus Christ critically warned us according to the above bible verses [1 John 2: 15] not to love the world for any reason because the devil will use it against you unknowingly. I pray the lord open your spiritual eyes so that you can adequately know how to tread the path of this world without getting stuck in Jesus name.
The question that should ring a bell in your heart now is that what then is the feature of this believers uniform which took its ordinance from the individual spiritual ability or how should a believer relate, dress or behave. The answer is that whatsoever you do should be meant to glorify God and if it will not glorify God then desist from it. What does this mean? It means that, take for instance, if you dress in an immoral way where you are only showing off the good glory of God in you to attract men and cause immoral thought in their heart, you are only glorifying the devil and God will not be happy with that. Also, every other thing you do on how you relate with people or behave or make judgement should be done in such a way that it will be a light and pass a good signal that will bring glory to God and to those around you.
This is because everything you do in life, how you live your life or how you look is a communication channel for which God or the devil are using to influence man since they both live in us and whenever you initiate something that people can see with their physical eyes, maybe in the area of immoral dressing, behavior or how you relate and judge matter, and if that thing is glorifying the devil, the same devil who is in the other person through his flesh will communicate to him immediately in such a manner that the person will begin to appreciate that which you are doing and began to love it. This is exactly how what you do which people can see becomes a communication channel both for God or the devil and to you. So you see how dangerous, deadly or lively your dressing or behaviour or look can be to influence your neighbour, colleague, and the society at large. I pray that the lord gives you a deeper understanding into this course in Jesus name.
Conclusion:
Now that you know how your dressing and behaviour influence people that are seeing it especially those around you. What decision or steps are you making now to correct your ways and dressing so that you can be in total peace with God. I will advice you ask God for forgiveness and grace to live up to his standard and He will grant it to u in Jesus name.
Confession:
If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your lord and saviour and you are convinced that you need him to come into your life so you can also tap into the grace available through shedding of his blood, and equally partake of the effectiveness of his wrath and the blessing that comes with it, and that you are sure, you are ready to repent from all those sin of fornication, adultery, lying, sexual immorality, pride, jealousy, hatred, idolatry, selfish ambition, witchcraft, impurity and debauchery, dissensions, envy, drunkenness, orgies and the likes, then locate a quiet place, be sober and be on your knees, and make this little confession but remember to be sure of what you are doing, so that you will not be using God to play, when you respect him and give him honour, he will also honour you in the sight of men (Matthew 6: 6).
Lord Jesus, i come with total humbleness of heart to ask for forgiveness of my sins and accept you as my lord and saviour, please forgive me of all my sin (you can begin to name them if you know them) I surrender my life to you and i want you to come and take full charge over my life and i accept you as my lord and my saviour, please cleanse me with your blood that you shed on the cross and make me a new man leaving old things behind, I promise to serve you and do your will at all time and i ask for the strength to carry on. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for saving me.
