Recap of last week Sermon:  

During the last sermon, we talked about the topic “Love, a two edge sword" to see how this easily affects our livelihood even as a child of God because the one to whom the father really loves, He also chastises to become a tool in His hand. Generally, Love is one of the sweetest and greatest things in life but it is also the most dangerous as it can easily becomes a property of your soul which therefore determines your actions and it is only God that can help mend the hurt aspect not to be too destructive.

Preamble:

This week, we shall be treating a topic “heavenly ambassador” to learn how to covet the value in this for our breakthrough in life especially through all our endeavors because a greater power of God is experience and engraved in this exercise even to the smallest form. The apex form of your sonship to God will be that you become His ambassador and reference Him in all spheres of your life and in doing this, His mighty hand will never leave you. Please sit back and enjoy this great lecture that will change your life forever.

Introduction: 

Ambassador, as it is being used within this context is basically a representative. To represent which means to reference and speak the voice of the one being represented at every point and at any time of man to man relationships. The world as a global village still has some reasonable number of ambassadors which represents different sectional area of the entire globe. 

This is also applicable to heavenly ambassador as we are to speak the voice for heavenly desires and principles on this earth through Christ Jesus, whom have been given the apex authority over every principality and power, of things beneath the earth, on the earth and in heaven [Philippians 2: 9-10] and thereby proclaiming the name of Jesus at every point and anywhere we finds ourselves, so that by so doing He will also direct His angels and mighty warrior on our behalf and on everything that concern us.

To become a heavenly ambassador through sharing the light is one of the utmost and greatest desire of God towards His dear loving children in Christ Jesus, and believe me the reward that comes with it also goes beyond other area of service as a son to Him [God]. Our lord Jesus Christ, is speaking to affirm this in the book of [Mark 16: 15-18] and which says “Go ye into the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved, but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe in my name shall they cast out devil; they shall speak with new tongues. They shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them, they shall lay hand on the sick and they shall recover”

The value or benefit embedded in this heavenly service cannot be over emphasized as it comes with great heavenly pleasure and joy even to the presence of the almighty [Luke 15: 7] and is able to compel or pull down whatever thing standing against its desire [Psalm 24: 3-5]. It will also be the result of many breakthroughs both spiritually and physically by virtue of the power behind sharing the light as God has said in His promise to us that if ye bring forth fruits and that the fruits abide then whatever thing ye ask the father in my name [Jesus] He will do it [John 15: 16].

One simple fact that needs to be known is that an ambassador must be able to rightly speak or convey the message of the one being represented and for this to happen he must have a good understanding of whom he is representing and as well know him. This is also applicable to heavenly ambassador for you must be well grounded in Christ and in His knowledge to be able to represent Him at any level and in anywhere for the gains or benefit to be assured. Our God is a faithful father and He is busy looking for who is available and ready to go for Him here on earth which is why He has attached a great promise to this [John 15: 16] and as you know that He can never fail.

Jesus Christ, who is the saviour of the world and who had come from God the father, came to bear witness for God as a heavenly ambassador so that through Him the world can be reconciled back to God. This act of oneness shown through the father to the son is also expected from every individual as a believer to reconcile those around them to God through Christ who is able and qualify to stand in for our sins in other that the promise of the Abrahamic covenant [Genesis 12: 1-3] also get to the gentiles. 

The bible text above [2 Corinthians 5: 19-20 NLT] made us understand that “for God was in christ reconciling the world to Himself, no longer counting peoples sin against them. And He gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. So we are Christ ambassador, God is making His appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “come back to God”

We speak for Christ when we plead come back to God to our unbelieving neighbour but those that are qualify to speak are those who are rooted in His words and believe strongly in Him because for speaking about Him alone is enough for the devil to put you to fight except you are his own, as we have many of those that belong to him [devil] knowingly or unknowingly who still go round to proclaim the name of Christ around their world but are working for their master who is the devil. The devil uses many individuals in this regards to achieve his mischievous act of stealing, killing and destroying even with fake signs and wonders and so this suggest the need for one to be deeply rooted in the knowledge of Christ so as to uncover the devices of the devil and to covet His [Christ] protection power before engaging in such exercise. May the grace of the lord almighty abound with you even as you begin to go round and speak for Him in Jesus name.  

Another thing worthy of note is that those sinner out there that require the message of salvation are being held down by demonic forces or power which could be aware of your intention and thereby distract the attention of the supposed hearer to other area, this is why you will need the leading of the holy spirit to give the necessary know-how needed to outsmart those demons and except this, you may be experiencing failure because you will be contending with the demon that dwells within them and as you know that since they are still living in sin, it will be easier for them to obey and listen to that corrupted spirit within which is the flesh rather than obeying you except the holy spirit works on them ahead sometimes to get their broken spirit in line so they can be humble to hear him through godly sorrow which bringeth forth repentance [2 Corinthians 7: 10].   

Take for instance you want to minister salvation to a man whom you perceive is deeply rooted in sin and have unbelievers around him. The first tool you need here is love towards him which will enable you develop some reasonable level of compassion for him [Luke 6: 32-36] because the once around him could be frustrating your effort especially if he loves them or except the holy spirit had prepared him ahead for you and has gotten his broken spirit [Psalm 51: 16-17] to enable him be humble to his words because there are some individual who are being fed with stubborn demon and they will require a godly sorrow [2 Corinthians 7: 10] to make them humble.  

The compassion you have or develop for him will enable you feel deep passion towards bringing him to salvation and also praying for him, it will also enable you support him morally, financially and spiritually. You see, apart from the holy spirit working on him you also need some work to do on your own part and if this is not borne out of love you might easily get tired or frustrated because the demonic power over them will not want to leave easily also but by your perseverance, and support and with the help of the holy spirit you will gain success.

To bear fruits and make them remain is the more major task of a believer because its comes with extra work just as I have explained above in the area of moral, financial and spiritual support. This is why our lord Jesus Christ state that if you bear fruit and that the fruit abide, then whatever you ask the father in His name, He will do it [John 15: 16] because He knows that you will need a much more effort in making them abide even after the holy spirit has worked on them. Let us see one of the great benefits of a heavenly ambassador.

Spiritual breakthrough:

As we have learnt above, heavenly ambassador speaks for heaven through Christ Jesus to the glory of the father but the one that will be able to do that successfully will also be heaven bound, that is, the one who is walking with Christ in holiness [1 Peter 1: 16] and who is deeply rooted in the knowledge of God through His word and revelation because there are many acclaimed heavenly ambassador who are only working for the devil unknowingly.

To be an ambassador for Christ critically involved sharing the light and bringing people from the dark world to the limelight of Christ Jesus. It’s also involved bearing fruits because as the light continue to shine, it will manifest itself in every individual and therefore produces the desire fruits according to their ability but how does the light shine? 

The book of [John 1: 1-5] made us understand that “in the beginning was the word, and the word was with God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life and the life was the light of men. And the light shinneth in the darkness and the darkness comprehended it not.  

We could deduce from the above scripture that the word of God has a form of life and that life is the light of men, and which shinneth in the darkness but the darkness could not overcome it. Sharing the light whom you have receive from Christ among individuals [Matthew 5: 14-16] sparkle the lightning effect and give it the necessary luminosity which the darkness could not withstand because just as we read above that the light is the light of all men and this means that until you begin to share the light and be an ambassador for Christ, your light may not shine. You can share the light in so many ways, either through preaching the gospel to the lost, interceding in prayer, standing in for Christ, helping hand, dressing, behaviour, altitude, words of mouth, and judgement and so on.

The scripture above [Matthew 5: 14-16 KJV] made us understand that “ye are the light of the world, a city set on a hill cannot be hid, neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel but in a candlestick and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good work and glorify your father which is in heaven”

Like I said above, sharing the light and bearing fruits works together because the effect of the light being share as manifested in every individual becomes a fruits and you know the promise to which our lord Jesus Christ had put behind bearing fruits especially when the fruits abide [John 15: 16] but there is a greater benefit that needs to be known and that is spiritual breakthrough. 

The mystery behind bearing fruits is that as you continue to share the light and making fruits for Christ, a chain reaction is being formed between you and those who are your fruits and which grows even more stronger provided there is love and continuity or a bit of likeness among the members and it is easier for God to bring them together for a spiritual warfare when the need arise and which will therefore guarantee breakthrough because one will chase a thousand and two will put ten thousand to fight because the lord is with them[Deuteronomy 32: 30]. May the lord grant you the grace for a deeper understanding into this in Jesus name.

Conclusion: 

There is tremendous power in this exercise of sharing the light and making up fruits for Christ as a heavenly ambassador even apart from the above listed method of breakthrough in spiritual warfare, it is also almost impossible for God to neglect the one that had been diligently bringing up fruit for Him because the bible make us understand that there is rejoicing at the present of the lord over one sinner that repent than ninety and nine just person who do not need to repent [Luke 15: 7]. May the lord grant you the require grace even as you go out to speak for Him in Jesus name.

Confession: 

If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your lord and saviour and you are convinced that you need him to come into your life so you can also tap into the grace available through shedding of his blood, and equally partake of the effectiveness of his wrath and the blessing that comes with it, and that you are sure, you are ready to repent from all those sin of fornication, adultery, lying, sexual immorality, pride, jealousy, hatred, idolatry, selfish ambition, witchcraft, impurity and debauchery, dissensions, envy, drunkenness, orgies and the likes, then locate a quiet place, be sober and be on your knees, and make this little confession but remember to be sure of what you are doing, so that you will not be using God to play, when you respect him and give him honour, he will also honour you in the sight of men (Matthew 6: 6).

Lord Jesus, i come with total humbleness of heart to ask for forgiveness of my sins and accept you as my lord and saviour, please forgive me of all my sin (you can begin to name them if you know them) I surrender my life to you and i want you to come and take full charge over my life and i accept you as my lord and my saviour, please cleanse me with your blood that you shed on the cross and make me a new man leaving old things behind, I promise to serve you and do your will at all time and i ask for the strength to carry on. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for saving me.
