In our last sermon, we deliberated on a topic He desire to have you’ to understand the mysteries behind every lopsideness and problem of life. The world in its entirety is full of irregularities, unfairness and wickedness. 

This nature which take its root from the spiritual has a benefiting factor both for God and the devil as it serve as the result or manifestation of the turbulent from the realm of the spirit because in as much as God desire your worship and lordship, in the same manner the devil also desires your full lordship [Isaiah 14: 12-15]. Preamble:

This week, we shall be looking into a message tittled, ‘Living above fear’ to pratically see how we can override this simple but destructive gigantic spiritual element which is a major weapon of warfare for the devil and his cohort as it plays a critical role even in your spiritual life [Proverb 29: 25, 1 Peter 5: 8]. Please see back and enjoy this great lecture that will change your life forever.

Introduction:

Fear is the greatest bondage of man that pratically limit his spiritual ability and which thereby imprison his spirit, and soul and of course made him a victim of the enemy [Romans 8: 15]. It is also a natural cause and disaster and no man is capable of showing perfect control over such interface.

To be afraid is to actively and temporarily loss ones consciousness over that which is being affraid for and which leaves a vacuum open that is prone to demonic covetousness. When a man is afraid, two things must come to play immediately: 1. He will be confuse and lost control, 2. The devil will breeze in immediately to take lordship by all stylish method of adoption, if not well nurtured. I pray the Lord grant you the grace you need to have control over this stage of life in Jesus name.

The spirit of man is like a domestic dog who receive order and training from his owner by automatically following his line of free will and desires, in other words, whatsoever a man does, think, and behaves, so his spirit does and acknowledged [Proverb 23: 7]. Your spirit is the chain to which God has used to connect with you in body form but though follow your order and desire, can also be used or manipulated in which way, either to follow God or the devil.

Furthermore the training you give to your spirit by what you do physically, either to follow God’s principles or do the desire of the devil through the flesh will determine your ability for spiritual exploit not forgetting that the devil who was one time the upper chamber angel or the guardian cherub of God can also give power for an exploit because the power still with him even as he was ordained and annoited so [Ezekiel 28: 12-16] but every power that comes through him is to have your soul destroy so you can partakes of his eternal punishment as judgment is critically awaiting him and all his follower [Revelation 22: 11-14]. 

The spirit of God is never a timid or fearful one. He is of power which comes from God Himself and which nothing on earth and heaven can stand [2 Timorhy 1: 7, Phillipians 2: 9-10] but the spirit of man takes after his natural and self-will occurrences which could be timid and fearful as the case maybe or depending on how atoned to God [Galatians 5: 17-18]

The spirit of God bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God for those who is following His principles and doing His will [Romans 8: 14-17], thus, displace the spirit of fear but the continua self will of a fearful man usually negate the desire of the spirit of God that may dwell within us. 

Remember we said above that your physical self-will occurrences takes precedence over your soul and thereby becoming a product of your spirit [Galatians 5: 17] and in that case, a fearful man who is exhibiting fear in most cases of his life will definitely be the one frustrating or not giving the spirit of God a reasonable privilege to operate in his life and thus, this is why a man must be very confident for God to work perfectly through him [Joshua 1: 9, Psalm 27: 14, Act 4: 13, 31, 28-29, Psalm 138: 3, 1 Corinthians 16: 13, Romans 8: 31-35].

A confident man is in full agreement with God especially when he is closer to Him [Christ] because as he is bold and confident, so his spirit whom will bear witness with the spirit of God remains bold also and perfectly ready to work with Him [God] in combating with the enemy and much successes on his side.

God is the alpha and omega and therefore knows all things and sees all things, in fact, before you pray and ask, He knows already for He sees your heart even before you come to Him but only want you to ask because you have been given a self free-will ability which made you also a god, so that you can declare your desires based on your freewill, for it is by your mouth you profess your salvation and with your heart you believes [Romans 10: 10].

Like i said above, asking through prayer is very important but your confident and boldness which works with your faith towards that which is being asked for is far more important for that prayer to be answered as God desire your faith much more than anything knowing fully well that your boldness and confident grows together with it in direct proportion [Hebrew 11: 6]. I pray the lord grant you grace to be bold in your dealing with Him in Jesus name.

Our bible text above read:

15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God. 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

 [Romans 8: 15-17]

07 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind [2 Timothy 1: 7]

Beloved, fear is a poison to God’s work in your life which will made you a spiritual victim of your enemy and put you in bondage but to them who strongly believes in His name and which are obeying his principles are giving the greatest privilege to cry Abba Father, so you are rest assured that you have a father who can do exceedingly above that which you desire [Ephesians 3: 20].

However your confidence and boldness of God should not make you begin despise His [God] principles and instructions because He created you and this is the only person you are require to fear greatly and give your total worship and adoration through His only begotten son [Jesus Christ] and this form your only access and assurance to salvation since He (Jesus) is the one that has shed His blood to safe man from the path of destruction [John 3: 16, Philippians 2: 9-10]. 

Nevertheless, to be bold and remain confident in your dealing with God cannot come by chance and no man has perfect control over this once you are still in the flesh. The basic things that induces fear in life apart from the sudden natural calamity and disaster is the basic needs of man and the expectation to come years later.

Yes it is right and normal that you respond to these needs even with fear so you can make hay while the sun shine but it is not of him that Willett nor of him runnet but of God that sheweth mercy [Roman 9: 16] in other word, it is not by your power that you succeed and no man has the ability to make himself successful above what nature has apportion to him.

The only way a man can live up to a condition of living above fear is by crucifying himself with Christ on the cross and though he live but lives through Christ who died and live forever more [Galatians 2: 20]. Being crucified with Christ mean you are dead to the world but alive through Christ and so, the things of the world are seldom important to you because whatsoever thing you love in the world is where your heart will be and that will be the starting point of your temptation, that is, what the devil will tempt you with.

But our Lord Jesus Christ made us a promise through the book of Matthew 6: 25-34NIV which read:

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Beloved, life is full of trouble and tribulation with much expectation of basic needs of man and there is no assurances that the trouble will not come [John 16: 33] BUT our lord Jesus Christ made us realise that our heavenly father is aware of all these even before we thought of it and He is saddle with the responsibility of making the provision available for us His children even in time of drought and personal needs as this becomes our surety in Him provided we are abiding by His principles just as we have read above.

This means that even as you are crucified with Him and dead to the world without minding the things of the world, He is very much aware of your existence and will never allow you go hungry and therefore make the required provision available for you in accordance to your faith but you must seek Him first for the kingdom of God and His righteousness so that every other thing shall be added to it. 

Our lord Jesus Christ also buttresses more on this in the book of John 16: 33 which says “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble but take heart I have overcome the world”

Conclusion:

We have learnt that living above fear is an essential part of a believer that want to do greater exploit for God and himself because it has to do with your confidence and faith in Christ Jesus.

We have also learnt that no man has perfect control over this interface of being afraid as it is a natural occurrence except God minister to them and that they have receive it in good order without showing fear in their dealing in life.

We have also learnt that for you to live up this condition of living above fear then you must have crucified yourself with Christ on the cross and that though you are dead to the world but live in Christ Jesus or if not the devil will tempt you with those thing where your heart is, maybe money, children, spouse, houses e.t.c.

We have also learnt that though you are dead to the world without minding the things of the world but our Lord is very much aware of your existences and will not allow you go hungry thereby making provision for your needs at the right time. 

Therefore, i will imploy you to live up this condition of living above fear so you can gain your victory at all times in Jesus Christ and ride over your enemy but you must step up your knowledge of Him and know Him better through His word (John 1: 1-5). I pray the lord give you the power and grace to live up this standard in Jesus name.

Confession: 

If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your lord and saviour and you are convinced that you need him to come into your life so you can also tap into the grace available through shedding of his blood, and equally partake of the effectiveness of his wrath and the blessing that comes with it, and that you are sure, you are ready to repent from all those sin of fornication, adultery, lying, sexual immorality, pride, jealousy, hatred, idolatry, selfish ambition, witchcraft, impurity and debauchery, dissensions, envy, drunkenness, orgies and the likes, then locate a quiet place, be sober and be on your knees, and make this little confession but remember to be sure of what you are doing, so that you will not be using God to play, when you respect him and give him honour, he will also honour you in the sight of men (Matthew 6: 6).

Lord Jesus, i come with total humbleness of heart to ask for forgiveness of my sins and accept you as my lord and saviour, please forgive me of all my sin (you can begin to name them if you know them) I surrender my life to you and i want you to come and take full charge over my life and i accept you as my lord and my saviour, please cleanse me with your blood that you shed on the cross and make me a new man leaving old things behind, I promise to serve you and do your will at all time and i ask for the strength to carry on. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for saving me.
