Recap of last sermon:

In our last sermon, we deliberated on a topic 'the true vine' to understand our this could impact our life for a glorious eternal destiny and gain which is only found in our Lord Jesus Christ.

We listed a true vine as a true reflection of the vine characteristics and the ability to regenerate the original desire of the one taking its lordship and can be any controllable medium with the ability to recreate, reproduce and re-incarnate under the auspices of the controller. We narrated how a man can be a vine for God or the devil.

We also stated how our Lord Jesus had seriously forewarned that it is better for those who have made themselves a vine for the devil to hang a large millstone on their neck and be thrown into the deep sea than for them to live because more sorrow shall befall them in life (Matthew 18: 6-7). Preamble:

This week, we shall be taking a critical study on a very volatile subject with title 'Marriage and the intrigues' to understand the hiding mysteries behind it and help generations yet unborn which will equally help sanitised our environment and society at large because if every individual family is living as ordained by God then sanctity is brought into the country. Please sit back and enjoy this sermon that will change your life forever.

Our key bible verse Genesis 1:26‭-‬28 KJV reads:

"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.  So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.  And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth"

Introduction:

Marriage is basically nothing but a tool for man's creation (Genesis 1: 27-28) as every individual comes from one family or the other and no man who had lived on this earth can boast of his independent entrance into this world, even spirit who finds their way into the earth must beg for a body to help manifest their desire which can only come through their ally because body or flesh is a property of the earth, found on this planet which is the mysterious product of our creator formed through earthly resources (Genesis 3: 19).

God Himself, is the founder of this institution called marriage which He cherished so much as He single handedly created Eve through Adam whom He had earlier created to be joined together and blessed them to replenish the earth and subdue it just as we have read above and as such every man emanate from them, Adam and Eve, who happen to be our first parent. However, our Lord Jesus Christ was the only man that had lived on this earth who happen to come from above (John 8: 23) by the seed of the heavenly father and which therefore beseech or qualify him the only begotten son of the most high, the creator of heaven and earth, but was also born through Marry. 

Beloveth, if God had not desire to manifest His glory through multiple creations as we read above in our bible verse (Genesis 1: 27-28), He may end up not creating Eve through Adam but Eve was created as a help meat which means to help the man (Adam) manifest, recreate and reincarnate the glory of God in him and so the woman has more better job to do for the man and for God and thus required to be treated with care as they are carrying much glory for God. This is also what the devil saw that had made him find his way at all cost through the woman which is still happening today. Maybe you have also been waiting on God for the fruit of the womb so you can manifest the glory of God in your husband, Receive grace for that in Jesus name.

In as much as marriage is founded by God for man's creation as we have read above, it is also meant for companionship and daily fellowship with God so His glory can be manifested and fulfilled by all nations as this is the only surety for a successful marriage (Isaiah 57: 15, 2 Conrithian 6: 16) because the devil who is the opposers to all godly things and desire has taken his position in every home through marriage by the sin committed by our first parent and if not well nurtured can overturned the desire of God for such marriage.  

Just as the bible recorded that the woman was deceived by the serpent who eventually introduced it to her husband is exactly the same way many home are being destroyed today and the devil is still practising this as it was inherited from our first parent. The devil knows that the woman carry much glory of God and which is why he (devil) always begin his persuasion struggle from her (Genesis 3: 1-6) so he can destroy God desire for such home.

Bearing in mind that the devil is a subject to God as he was created by God and the created cannot be greater than the creator but he uses man to destroy themselves, in other words, if the devil want to destroy a home or covet their lordship, ofcourse, he can't start it from God because he can't get near, even if he knows that God has a good plan for them but from the people who are the subject of the home particularly from the woman because they have the direct key to their husband heart, who is the authority of the home, either through sex, food and passionate love affair or could even be from the children who are so loved.

For this reason, there must be a very strong good agreement of love which is anchored on Christ only between the spouse which shall equally manifest spiritually so that the devil will not find way through them because the moment they engage in very sharp disagreement, the devil is creeping in and he is already inside. This means that when the two are having serious arguments, one should step down and agree to disagree so they can move on and not allow the argument begin to create impression in themselves thereby giving rooms for the devil.

This is why a wife that do not cooperate or belief in her husband especially when the man is not leading her to evil is worst than a loving witchcraft and likewise a husband that do not cooperate or belief his wife especially when the woman is not of evil is worst than an infidel because the moment there is no cooperation, belief, trust among them then the devil is already crawling in and this will definitely manifest spiritually. 

But to avoid this conflict of authority in the home, God has commanded that the man shall be the head of the home just as Christ is the head of the church and that the woman shall be a subject to the man and must bow to him at all time in everything, and that the man also should love his wife just as Christ love the church by giving himself for it (Ephesians 5: 21-25). This is to say the woman should always step down for her husband in argument and everything and not claiming to be on top or having a mind of her own and that the man also should love his wife with the love of Christ.

Bible verse above Ephesians 5:21‭-‬25 KJV reads:

"Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.  Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.  For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.  Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.  Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it"

Dearly beloved, a successful godly home is not far from all these characteristics we have listed above and this mean that the moment the spouse put on such attribute as highlighted above then God will be their companion and will fellowship with them day by day.

The bible also made us understand that the two will become one flesh after marriage and that they are no longer two but one flesh (Mark 10: . Beloveth, do not be deceived, for God cannot share His glory. For the two to become one flesh, there must be an agreement and understading of love anchored by Christ shared by the spouses and the moment they disagree sharply on this, there shall be a gradual decline in connection that binds them together with Christ and God will definitely step aside because His ordination in this regard has been tampered with or shifted except they correct their steps and make amendments and likewise make up for each other.

One of the greatest thing God cherish in a man is His temple which is in you and the moment you tempered with it then you are only telling Him (God) to pack His things and get out of your body, and God has also forewarned us that whoever destroy His temple which is in you, such a person he will also destroy (1 Corinthians 3: 16-17). But how can a man displaces the temple of God in him for the devil is simply through fornication and adultery and for married couple, it is simply by not sharing a very strong agreement of love that is anchored on Christ who is the solid rock, that is, through all manner of disagreement. 

Bible verse above 1 Corinthians 3:16‭-‬17 KJV reads:

"Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?  If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are"

Sign of insubordination is when you see a woman that is always trying to claim she have a mind of her own and trying everytime to overshadow her husband in argument, decision making and other things in the house or trying to compete with him on level ground or raised shoulder with him. This is not a good sign as God detest it in it entirety and should be thrown away before the devil hijack it and help manifest it proper because your husband is God representative over you and when you condemn him then you are condemning God Himself and the same goes to the man, you are to love your wife completely without exception just as Christ love the church that He gave Himself for it and also remember that love does no harm, love is kind, love is humble and love is cherishing her as a glory of God and doing good to her at all time.

How do you know your husband is God representative over you is:

 1. God critically commanded it in the book of Ephesian 5: 21-25 as we read above that the man is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church and of course, you know Christ is the head of the church which is His body (Colosian 1: 17-20) even as He is God representative over us His children (Romans 8: 34, John 10: 30).

 2. The man is the one that will give report to God first over you just as in the days of Adam and Eve, during the journey of your marriage only, over any circumstances or issue (Genesis 3: 9-19) but not on the judgement day as every individual will account for his or her own work on the last day (Revelation 22: 11-14), you can see from the scripture above (Genesis 3: 9-19) that even when Eve was the one that introduce the sin to Adam, but when God came into the garden, He called to Adam first, who is the man and the head to ask him of how he had sin and when Adam explained to him that the woman you gave me introduced the sin to me before He (God) proceeded to asked any question from the woman and we know the rest of the story.

 3. God also instructed His prophet that If a woman makes a vow to Him and her husband hear of it and nullify it or disallow it then that nullification or the husband refusal to approve it makes that vow void to him which means the vow should go through your husband first as he is your head then to God (Numbers 30:10‭-‬13 KJV).

Bible verse Numbers 30:10‭-‬13 KJV reads:

And if she vowed in her husband's house, or bound her soul by a bond with an oath;  And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her, and disallowed her not: then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she bound her soul shall stand.  But if her husband hath utterly made them void on the day he heard them; then whatsoever proceeded out of her lips concerning her vows, or concerning the bond of her soul, shall not stand: her husband hath made them void; and the Lord shall forgive her.  Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it, or her husband may make it void.

4. The bible made us understand as God had ordained that the woman should have their head cover while before Him [God] to show a sign of honour to their husband as her head but that the husband only should have his head open to Him (1 Corinthians 11:3‭-‬9 NLT).

Bible verse 1 Corinthians 11:3‭-‬9 NLT reads:

But there is one thing I want you to know: The head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.  A man dishonors his head if he covers his head while praying or prophesying. But a woman dishonors her head if she prays or prophesies without a covering on her head, for this is the same as shaving her head. Yes, if she refuses to wear a head covering, she should cut off all her hair! But since it is shameful for a woman to have her hair cut or her head shaved, she should wear a covering. A man should not wear anything on his head when worshiping, for man is made in God’s image and reflects God’s glory. And woman reflects man’s glory. For the first man didn’t come from woman, but the first woman came from man. And man was not made for woman, but woman was made for man.

Now you can see that it is expedient for you to honour your husband so you can live in peace with God and man as that is God's original ordination and any man that fails to love his wife dearly just as Christ love the church after she has fulfilled all these God's ordain instructions is looking for a real battle with God the creator of heaven and earth as He had said it categorically in His words that He hate divorce and that any man who deal treacherously with his wife shall He also dealt with (Malachi 2:15‭-‬16 KJV). I pray the Lord grant you grace to this level of endeavour in Jesus might name.

Bible verse Malachi 2:15‭-‬16 KJV reads:

And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.  For the Lord , the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the Lord of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.

Summary and conclusion:

We have learnt that marriage is a tool created or founded by God Himself, for man's creation to multiply and manifest his glory.

We have learnt marriage not only a tool for man creation but also for God's daily fellowship and companionship.

We have learnt that for marriage to be successful, the spouses must be bond with a strong love of agreement and understanding anchored on Christ Jesus only.

We have also learnt that the woman should submit in totality to her husband not flaunting rude characteristics of argument, competing or raising shoulder with her husband through condemnation as the husband is a representative of God the creator of the universe and that the man also should love his wife with the love of Christ, cherishing her as a glory of God as love is kind, humble and does no harm.

I will therefore admonish you to be a better wife and a better husband after reading the article and I pray that the Lord gives you the grace to this level of ability in Jesus mighty name. Remain blessed.

If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your lord and saviour and you  are convinced that you need him to come into your life so you can also  tap into the grace available through shedding of his blood, and equally  partake of the effectiveness of his wrath and the blessing that comes  with it, and that you are sure, you are ready to repent from all those  sin of fornication, adultery, lying, sexual immorality, pride, jealousy,  hatred, idolatry, selfish ambition, witchcraft, impurity and  debauchery, dissensions, envy, drunkenness, orgies and the likes, then  locate a quiet place, be sober and be on your knees, and make this  little confession but remember to be sure of what you are doing, so as not to be going back and forth or using His holy name to play, when you respect him and give him  honour, he will also honour you in the sight of men (Matthew 6: 6).

 Lord Jesus, i come with total humbleness of heart to ask for  forgiveness of my sins and accept you as my lord and saviour, please  forgive me of all my sin (you can begin to name them if you know them) I  surrender my life to you and i want you to come and take full charge  over my life and i accept you as my lord and my saviour, please cleanse  me with your blood that you shed on the cross and make me a new man  leaving old things behind, I promise to serve you and do your will at  all time and i ask for the strength to carry on. Thank you, Lord Jesus,  for saving me.
