During the last sermon we discussed on “A FRIEND OF THE WORLD IS ENMITY WITH GOD” to learn and understand what it takes to be a friend of God because virtually everyone want to have God as their friend since this level of relationship carry more power beyond any imagination but little do they know that when you are a friend of God, you will be an enemy of the world and expect hatred and persecutions and likewise, when you are a friend of the world, you will be an enemy of God because everything in the world: the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye and the pride of life come not from the father [1 John 2: 15-17].

Preamble:

This week, we shall be treating a topic on “The Man that God will love” to learn and understand all the rudiments in coveting God’s love which will therefore becomes your shed of power in all sphere of life because when God loves you then be rest assured to experience his power in all ramification even without working much for it. Though God is love and He love the world explicitly (John 3: 16) but sin had created a rift between Him (God) and man and has consequently generated series of curses (Genesis 3: 14-19) which had affected the position of His love in a man's life and therefore, man will be the one to work out the position of God's love in them according to their ability but grace is available only through the blood of Jesus Christ who had paid the price of our sin and reconnect us back to the father (1 John 2: 2).

The love of God comes with tremendous power even to pulled down anything on its path standing contrary to His will [Psalms 24: 3-4] and virtually everyone desire this love but do not have the require understanding or knowledge to covet it and sometimes ended up being cursed. Please sit back and enjoy this great lecture that will change your life forever.

Introduction:

Love is sacrificial, love is dependable, love is honest and above all, love is able to break into any stronghold, no matter what. It could also be very dangerous when is being hurt. Love is sacrificial because it involves sensational giving and this is exactly how you can test your love. The book of [John 3: 16] made us understand that, for God so love the world that He GAVE His ONLY BEGOTTEN son. Please dwell on the words highlighted in capital letter from the above verse, we see that He gave His only begotten son because he loves the world, truly this is a painful sacrificial giving and it could only come out of love. This also means that when you love someone, you are ready to share part of your own with that fellow. It is not enough to say you love someone and are not ready to make sacrifice because love involve sensational giving or sacrificing as we have learnt above. Giving or sacrificing as it is being used within this context could be in any form or level, it is not until you die for someone or giving out the whole of your worth to the fellow that you are making sacrifice, as a matter of fact, sacrifice can in level by level and the level to which your ability can go will produce a corresponding love or power even in the realm of spirit. We see this in the act of Jesus Christ, laying down his life as a sacrificial lamb for the sin of mankind and because he had paid this painful and greatest height of sacrificing, God lifted Him above all principalities and power and that at the name of Jesus, every kneel should bow and every tongue should confess He is lord both in heaven and on earth and under the earth to the glory of the father [Philippians 2: 7-11]. You will aggree with me that this height of sacrifice gave Jesus Christ more power and love by being raised to the highest level both in heaven and on earth and under the earth and likewise radiate much deeper love from the father towards Him because he has fulfilled God’s desire. 

Love is able to break into any stronghold because of the sensational reliability that govern its process and so, when you love God and He reciprocate it or God loves you and you reciprocate it, then you will be able to tap continuously into His power provided you continue in His love. The inherent power that is embedded along with the love of God cannot be over emphasized because it comes with His wrath and nothing contrary to His will can stand it. A man that has won God’s love is fully protected on every side even with the great host of heaven and God never joke with their issue but there are circumstances or prices to be fulfilled for such level of relationship or exploit with God.  Love settles so many things and even anointing flows better when the recipient vessel share some love or likeness with the source vessel, this is why God is giving strict commandments which serve as the greatest commandments among all and which says “Love the lord thy God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind”

Beloved, the greatest miracle of God is always burn out of compassion which comes from love because God is love [1 John 4: 8] and so, it will be difficult to experience His power out of His love. The scripture [1 Corinthians 13: 2] state that “if i have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mystery and all knowledge and if I have a faith that can move mountain but do not have love I am nothing” The above scripture will bring us to the understanding that without love we cannot even please God because He himself is love. The love needed to perform exploit for God comes from compassion and may not need to be reciprocated from the one expecting the miracle but there must be some level of love being shared between God and the vessel to whom He is using to perform the exploit because anointing flows better with love. 

Now let us look at some criteria that will induce God’s love over a man which therefore produces the compassion needed for greater exploits and of course you know that when God love a man, such fellow becomes the apple of His eyes and God never joke with their issue.

1. Christ follower:  John 3: 16, John 15: 10, Romans 3: 23-25.

The first categories of people that God will love without any reservation are those working hard to know and follow Him through obedience to His one and only begotten son, Jesus Christ, who had come to laid down His life as a living sacrifice and which through Him, the grace needed to bring us out of the cursed circle is bestowed [John 3: 16, John 15: 10, Romans 3: 23-25]. One important question here is that so many people claimed to be following Him but are not and only very few people who are ready to deny themselves have their way scale through to following Him because for everyone who desire to follow Him must first of all, carry their cross which are the prices to be paid [Matthew 16: 24-27]. To follow Him successfully deeply requires knowing Him because God is a spirit and they that worship Him must do it in spirit and in truth [John 4: 24]. So many people desire to follow Him closely but refuse to let go of their worldly things or lifestyle that had kept them entangled. Like I said above, the one that God will love will be the apple of His eyes and before they speak, He is already answering [Isaiah 65: 24].

To follow Christ diligently to succeed is not a bread and butter game as many thinks it should be because you will be constantly contending with the devil which is the flesh but since you have submitted yourself fully to Him [Jesus Christ] and keep dwelling in His court or under His shadow, then safety is assured, even Jesus Christ, Himself affirmed to this in the book of [John 16: 33b] which says that you will have trouble in the world but take heart I have overcome the world.  

So many people do not want to die but they want to go to heaven, and they forgot so quickly that the only path or channel to heaven is death. This means that if you are not ready to die in this world then you cannot go to heaven. This is also very synonymous to following Christ to succeed because you must crucify yourself and live for Him [Christ], which is to first of all kill your flesh by refusing to feed him with worldly food which could be a worldly lifestyle and this is why if you see a believer whom you cannot differentiate with those living in the world then there is a comma in the one dwelling in him or her and therefore, the only way to follow Christ successfully is to crucify your flesh and be dead to the world first so that the life you will live now in the world is to live for Him [Christ], that is, He will be the one living through you while your old self is dead and except this, your relationship with Him will just be on gambled [Galatians 2: 20] because so many people still want to hold on to the world, enjoying sweet things of the world in the area of dressing, fornication and adultery, gambling, lying and still believe that grace will abide. No way!

For the category of people that had crucified themselves as explained above will cheaply covet God’s love without any reservation and God never joke with their case. So beloved, I will implore you to know where you are standing and do the needful because until you fall within this close door category, the grace of God in your life will still be operating with condition, I will explain better as we proceed. 

2. The Source: Exodus 20: 5-6, Romans 9: 6b-8

Another condition that will enable God show mercy and love over a man even before accepting Christ is the source through which they come from. So many individual are from different spiritual background and sources [you can read my book with a title why do people suffer and why does God allow it]. Paul speaking in [Romans 9:6b-8], and verse 8, makes us understand that it is not the children by physical descendant who are God's children but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham's offspring. This makes us understand that though God is the creator of all things but He select His children based on those that are very obedient and loyal in worshiping Him, and it is based on this, that He sends them to the world to manifest and bring forth fruit. This also means that not everybody on planet earth are His children because children comes through obedient, loyal and worship. Satan also has his own children who are loyal and worshiping him by virtue of him and the falling angel who also have captured the mind of so many and turn them to be their product.

So the source to which an individual may belong will determine God’s love outside Christ, though God first love the world by giving His only begotten son, that whoever believe in Him will not perish but have everlasting life [John 3: 16] but the implication of the above verse is that those who do not believe in Him will perish, and this means that though God may love you because you belong to His source, that is, the once He has selected for Himself, just as Paul has said above but that love is for a time and is conditional because if you end up not accepting Jesus Christ, that love and the grace in it will be taken away but before this will happen, God would have make sure that you have been getting enough of the message of salvation so He will be justify to take away the grace available to such individual because He is a just God.

Another thing to consider is that God do show exceptional love and mercy to the children of those that have faithfully serve Him to succeed, just like the case of David to Solomon in the book of [2 Samuel 7: 14] where God told David that His love will never depart from His son, Solomon and that even if he sin, He will only flog him with the rod of men but His love will not depart from him because of David. Our bible text [Exodus 20: 6] also affirmed to this which says God shows love and mercy unto a thousand generation of them that love Him and keep His commandments but only if the children finally continue to obey Him by submitting to Jesus Christ and if not, the love will be taken away just like the case narated above.

3. Special vessel: Jeremiah 1: 5, Jonah 1& 2.

This is the only condition that will bring down the greatest level of love from God to his vessel on assignment, there are individual that are special vessel of God that are being sent to the world on a mission and for a purpose. God never joke with their case and He alone comes down to fight their battle and conquer for them even without them putting in much effort. These set of individuals are in a much serious covenant with God either knowingly or unknowingly. God is always practically with them and their case is always a different case because they are carrying much of God’s glory that will bring forth great number of fruit for Him but there is one greater implication to this level of God’s love and that is if the individual fail to appreciate God and do His will, then his own punishment will also be very tough than others who are not special vessel. This means that for this category of vessel, the two sharp edge of God’s sword for them will carry two greater implication and which are: one side of the edge is greater love of God that can pierce into any stronghold and conquer for them while the other side of the edge is consuming fire which is the one that will destroy the vessel if he refuse to execute God’s plan and do His will. The way they carry greater love of God, that is exactly how they carry His side of anger that will consume them if they refuse to execute His plans because of the glory that God has created them with. We see the case of Jonah whom God has ordain to go for a mission and he refuse then God made him jump into the sea where big fish swallow him until he confess and repent inside the fish [Jonah 1 & 2]. Beloved this is exactly how the dangerous side of God could be, if you carry His property [glory] and refuse to do His will so be watchful!

Conclusion:

I will admonish you to know where you belong within the category stated above and continually tap into his love because only those who knows what they are and who they are in Him can continually tap into His love without any reservation provided they continue walking in His ways but bear it in mind that irrespective of where you belong, if you have not submit yourself to Jesus Christ, and follow Him diligently to succeed as we have explained above, the love of God or grace upon you will still be conditional and a time will come when it will be taken away and until you submit to Him fully that you can fully experience His love and grace without condition. When you are in the love of God through Jesus Christ, because He is the way and the gate through which you can enter to see the father, He will perfect so many things that concern you and yours. Trust me!

Confession: 

If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your lord and saviour and you are convinced that you need him to come into your life so you can also tap into the grace available through shedding of his blood, and equally partake of the effectiveness of his wrath and the blessing that comes with it, and that you are sure, you are ready to repent from all those sin of fornication, adultery, lying, sexual immorality, pride, jealousy, hatred, idolatry, selfish ambition, witchcraft, impurity and debauchery, dissensions, envy, drunkenness, orgies and the likes, then locate a quiet place, be sober and be on your knees, and make this little confession but remember to be sure of what you are doing, so that you will not be using God to play, when you respect him and give him honour, he will also honour you in the sight of men (Matthew 6: 6).

Lord Jesus, i come with total humbleness of heart to ask for forgiveness of my sins and accept you as my lord and saviour, please forgive me of all my sin (you can begin to name them if you know them) I surrender my life to you and i want you to come and take full charge over my life and i accept you as my lord and my saviour, please cleanse me with your blood that you shed on the cross and make me a new man leaving old things behind, I promise to serve you and do your will at all time and i ask for the strength to carry on. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for saving me.
